National Ashtedo Akhada Seminar for Judges / Referees / Coach / Instructors will be held on 28th to 31st May 2016 at District Sports Complex, Bhandara, Maharashtra. It is the struggle of our newly elected Secretary General, Guru Rajesh N. Talmale to achieve the goal for the welfare of the Federation. We must give thanks to him. The National Ash-Te-Do (AKHADA) Federation of India (NAFI) is the only national level body of India, to govern the sport of ASH-TE-DO (AKHADA) and is fully Recognised with the South Asian Ash-Te-Do (AKHADA) Federation – SAAF, Asian Federation of Ash-Te-Do (AKHADA) – AFA & World Ash-Te-Do (AKHADA) Federation -WAF.
Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India has accorded recognition to the event of ASHTEDO (AKHADA) as one of the NC Discipline during the NYF – 2014 held at Ludhina from 12th to 16th January 14. NAFI has accorded provisional approval of Sports & Youth Services Department vide letter No. 48/SYS/III SYS-YS-21/2013 Bbsr. Dt. 2/1/2014.
The NAFI Odisha has been recognised as one of the accredited sports discipline by the Odisha Olympic Association, OOA Affiliated to: Indian Olympic Association. Further the NAFI has been Approved by Department of Sports & Youth Services, Govt. of Odisha vide approval No. 12436/III/SYS-YS/21/13 Bhubaneswar Dtd. 2/12/2013 for conducting Self Defence Training to Girls/Women in coordination with Home Department, W&CD Deptt., Department of School & Mass Education, Department of Higher Education.
The Women & Child Development Department has recognised the Federation vide letter No. WCD-ICDS-SCHM (SABALA)-0076-201322298/WCD, Dt. 22.11.2013 for ASHTEDO (AKHADA) training to Adolescent Girls under the SABALA Scheme.
The NAFI recognizes state Ash-Te-Do governing bodies , which are recognized by the respective State Olympic Committee or State Sports Authorities; in the pertinent state, one in each state, as its members.
The National Ash-Te-Do Federation of India has been recognised as the Cultural Federation by the Autonomous body of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India vide their letter F.No.7/-1/2011-2012/1589 Dated 22nd April 2011 to provide financial assistants for all federation activities.
In the last Core Committee of School Games Federation of India held at Pune from 5th to 7th August 2012 National Ash-Te-Do (AKHADA) Federation of India has been recognised as the only Recognised National level federation to develop the sports known as Ash-Te-Do (AKHADA) from Grass Rout Level. It has also been included in the National Schools Ash-Te-Do Championships. The Technical Seminar on Ashtedo (AKHADA) has already been conducted by Directorate of Secondary Education, Department of School & Mass Education, Govt. of Odisha Aft. under School Games Federation of India vide letter No. letter No. 1313/Dt.8/1/2013.
